The key players in this global health arena are not elected governments but three private foundations: the Rockefeller Foundation, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and Bloomberg Philanthropies.
These foundations, with their vast endowments, have significant influence over the WHO, Big Pharma, and Big Finance, effectively shaping global health policies through investment, research funding, political lobbying, and policy advising.
Bill Gates and Michael Bloomberg, two of the most influential figures in this scenario, have been collaborating for decades.
Their partnership solidified during an informal gathering of billionaires at Rockefeller University in 2009, organized by the Gates Foundation. This alliance further materialized with the launch of an international anti-smoking campaign aimed at changing legislation in numerous countries.
Johns Hopkins University plays a crucial role within this network, housing the “Bloomberg School of Public Health” and the “Bill & Melinda Gates Institute for Population and Reproductive Health.”
The university is part of a network of institutions that cooperate with pharmaceutical giant Pfizer in the “Pfizer’s Center for Therapeutic Innovation” (CTI) network.

The Rockefeller Foundation, another key player, is also a member of Pfizer’s CTI network. This collaboration has a controversial history, including a lawsuit against the foundation and Johns Hopkins University for a medical experiment conducted in Guatemala in the 1940s.
The WHO’s current president, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, is a staunch supporter of this network. His ties to the Gates Foundation and the Clinton Foundation date back to his tenure as Ethiopia’s Health Minister.
