According to a recent poll conducted by DailyMail.com, a significant percentage of the American population believes in the existence of extraterrestrial life.
The survey, which involved 1,000 US voters, revealed that over 40% of respondents think that aliens have visited Earth in the past fifty years. This fascinating revelation highlights the growing interest and belief in the possibility of life beyond our own planet.
Carried out by J.L Partners from September 15 to 20, the poll included a series of questions about unidentified flying objects (UFOs) and the government’s handling of such occurrences.
The participants ranged in age from 18 to over 65, providing a broad demographic perspective on these captivating topics.

Interestingly, the survey also revealed a lack of trust in the current administration’s handling of UFO-related information.
Over 40% of respondents believe that the Biden administration is withholding information about extraterrestrial life. This sentiment was shared across different demographics, with even Democrats expressing skepticism about the transparency of their own party’s administration.
In a hypothetical scenario where Earth is attacked by aliens, the poll asked respondents who they would feel safer under – former President Donald Trump or current President Joe Biden.
The results were revealing, with 43% of respondents choosing Trump, while only 32% opted for Biden. This preference for Trump was consistent across all age groups, races, education levels, and political affiliations, indicating a broader trust in his leadership during potential extraterrestrial crises.
Former President Trump had previously discussed UFOs during his presidency, stating in a podcast interview that he had been briefed on the subject and always kept an open mind.
On the other hand, President Biden largely avoided the topic in interviews, although he did announce an interagency group earlier this year to investigate unidentified objects in US airspace.
Astronomers have discovered a “deep structure” buried on the moon. “Imagine taking a pile of metal five times larger than the Big Island of Hawaii and burying it underground” Most likely it’s from an asteroid, but whatever it is we should call it TMA-1. https://t.co/efwark2IRq pic.twitter.com/umwAo4qw3W

The findings of the poll come at a time when there is a heightened interest in UFOs, fueled by recent congressional hearings and a NASA investigation into unidentified aircraft flying in US airspace.
Even US Customs and Border Patrol released a series of videos showing unexplained aerial phenomena, further igniting public curiosity and concern.
The poll results reflect a growing belief in extraterrestrial life among Americans, coupled with a lack of confidence in the current administration’s handling of UFO-related information.
