This event, attended by 90,000 followers, was held just a day before Bekker’s murder, raising serious concerns about the correlation between Malema’s incendiary speeches and the rising violence against farmers.

Despite the outcry from opposition parties and international figures like Elon Musk, the South African government has remained largely silent.
