Kid Rock, the well-known conservative musician, was recently seen drinking a Bud Light at a concert.
This happened just a few months after he publicly denounced the brand and called for a boycott. Social media users were quick to point out the irony and hypocrisy of the situation.
Kid Rock’s disapproval of Bud Light started when the beer brand partnered with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney.
In response, the musician released a viral video of himself shooting cases of Bud Light with an AR-15, declaring his personal boycott against the brand.
His actions led to a significant backlash against Bud Light and its parent company, Anheuser-Busch, which has experienced declining sales since then.

However, recent pictures taken at a Colt Ford performance in Nashville, Tennessee, suggest that Kid Rock may have changed his opinion about the brand.
The photos, taken without his knowledge, show him talking to friends while holding a blue beer can with large white letters that clearly spell out ‘Bud Light’.
The sight of the famous conservative musician enjoying the very beer he strongly protested against sparked a wave of comments on social media. Many accused him of hypocrisy for seemingly reversing his boycott.
MSNBC’s Mehdi Hasan called out Kid Rock, stating, “First, he doesn’t just vow to boycott Bud Light, he shoots a case of it on camera with an AR-15. Then, not only does he go back to immediately drinking Bud Light again but he does it in public and gets caught. Can’t make this stuff up.”

NBC reporter Ben Collins jokingly said, “Kid Rock has gone woke,” while conservative podcast host Tim Pool posted a single word, “TREASON.”
Former West Virginia state Senator Richard Ojeda II also commented, “Apparently Kid Rock doesn’t have any issues with Bud Light when he doesn’t think the cameras are on him.”
Journalist Alejandra Caraballo added another layer to the controversy by revealing, “His restaurant in Nashville never stopped selling Bud Light. This is all performative theater for these people to signal their cruelty to trans people.”
Despite the widespread criticism and mockery, a representative for Kid Rock has not responded to requests for comment.
