Our planet has been subjected to a series of catastrophic events.
From the devastating fires in Maui to a tropical storm in California, from Canada being engulfed in flames to a historic heat dome over the central US, all these incidents occurred within a week.
These alarming occurrences led many to believe that our planet is in distress. The climate crisis, as some have termed it, seems to be knocking at our door. Prominent figures like Cori Bush have even called on President Biden to declare a climate emergency.
However, amidst this chaos and panic, a different narrative has emerged from the ashes of the Maui wildfires. Illinois Senator Dick Durbin, the Senate Majority Whip, previously described the wildfires as a “devastating view of our planet as we fail to adequately address the climate crisis.”
Though recent revelations suggest there might be more to the story than meets the eye.

Maui County officials have now pointed the finger at the Hawaii Electric Company (HECO).
In doing so they said the company had a duty to do the following:
“Properly maintain and repair the electric transmission lines and other equipment, including utility poles associated with their transmission of electricity, and keep vegetation properly trimmed and maintained.
This is needed to prevent contact with overhead power lines and other electric equipment.
The new information contradicts the claims made by national and Hawaii state Democrats, who were quick to blame the fires on “climate change.” Even Hawaii Governor Josh Green, during his appearance on CBS’s “Face the Nation,” attributed the amplification of the fires to climate change.
John Podesta, the White House clean energy “czar,” not only echoed these sentiments but also promoted the Inflation Reduction Act as a solution to the wildfires. However, the recent revelations from Maui County officials have cast doubt on these claims.

The cause of the catastrophic wildfires has reportedly been traced back to downed power lines and failures by the state’s main power utility company. This revelation completely dismantles the Democrats’ climate change narrative.
In light of these facts, the government of Maui County, Hawaii, has filed a lawsuit against the Hawaii Electric Company and its subsidiaries.
The lawsuit alleges that the defendants acted negligently by failing to power down their electrical equipment despite a National Weather Service Red Flag Warning on August 7th.
It further alleges HECO’s energized and downed power lines ignited dry fuel such as grass and brush, causing the fires.
