Biden Administration Sets Sights on Changing Your Beer Drinking Habits

The Biden administration appears to be setting its sights on an unexpected target – your beer.

This comes amidst a series of controversial decisions that have seen innocent Americans incarcerated and gas stoves targeted in the name of combating climate change.

The latest development involves the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) contemplating a drastic shift in alcohol consumption guidelines.

The health advisor to the Biden administration, Dr. George Koob, revealed this potential change in an interview with the Daily Mail.

The new guidelines, described as stringent, are reportedly inspired by Canada’s alcohol advice, which recommends a maximum of two drinks per week for its citizens.

Dr. Koob, who himself enjoys wine twice a week, believes that such a proposal could potentially yield health benefits. He expressed optimism that if there are indeed health benefits, it might prompt Americans to reassess their current drinking habits.

This proposed change would represent a significant departure from the existing U.S. guidelines.

Currently, women are allowed up to one bottle of beer, a small glass of wine, or a shot of spirit per day, while men can have two. If the new guidelines are adopted, men would be encouraged to cut down their alcohol intake from 14 drinks to just two per week, and women from seven to two.

Under the present U.S. guidelines, a drink is defined as containing 0.6 fluid ounces of alcohol. This is equivalent to one beer, one glass of 12 percent alcohol wine, or one shot. These guidelines are due for revision in 2025, shortly after the forthcoming presidential election.

However, Dr. Koob’s stance on alcohol consumption seems to contradict his earlier statement. In the same interview with the Daily Mail, he stated there were “no benefits” to drinking alcohol in terms of health.

He suggested the perceived benefits of alcohol consumption were more likely linked to factors such as diet and socioeconomic status, rather than the alcohol itself.

In the midst of pressing issues like soaring inflation, border lawlessness, and rising mortgage rates, the Biden administration’s focus on beer consumption has raised eyebrows.

This move adds another layer to the growing list of reasons why Americans believe Joe Biden needs to be removed from power.
