In an audacious daylight robbery, a jewelry store in La Verne, California was raided by masked assailants.
The incident, which took place at Rodeo Jewelers around 12:15 p.m. on Saturday, was captured on surveillance video, as reported by KTLA.

The video reveals a white car barreling into the store, shattering the front glass windows. Four individuals, whose faces obscured by ski masks, poured out from the vehicle and commenced their raid, busting open display cases to seize jewelry.
Authorities estimate that the culprits fled with merchandise valued at around $300,000.
The brazen robbery escalated to violence when the store owner, emerging from the back of the store, tried to confront the robbers. In response, one of the assailants attacked the owner with a chair.

The chaos continued until two more store employees arrived on the scene. At this point, the thieves abandoned the store, leaving their initial vehicle behind.

After receiving seven stitches due to his injuries during the assault, the owner is expected to recover fully, as per KABC.
La Verne Police Department Lieutenant Cory Leeper stated that the audacity and tactics of the criminals indicate they might have been involved in similar crimes before.

“All signs point to the fact that these suspects have likely been embroiled in other crimes, perhaps different in nature, where they’ve honed their criminal tactics. Their brazenness seems to be escalating,” Leeper said.
According to KABC, the four suspects managed to escape in a black Nissan Altima, model years 2013-2015, with distinct silver and black aftermarket rims. The vehicle had been parked nearby. As of now, the whereabouts of the suspects remain unknown.
