The relationship between Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and his wife, Casey DeSantis, has been described as “one of the most closely guarded and feared pairings in politics.”
This comes in a new article that focuses on the first lady of Florida, Casey DeSantis. The article was published in The Washington Post.
As Ron DeSantis pursues the presidency, his wife’s role is limitless. Casey, 42, isn’t a typical political spouse. Why does that inspire so much fear? Her rise in TV and insular marriage tell the story. https://t.co/A1NyIxnwmT

Not The Clintons
However, the piece is receiving criticism on the internet for referring to the political couple’s marriage as “insular” and portraying their bond as “an inner circle of two” and extremely “private.”
The Post contends that despite the fact the couple may give off the appearance of being a typical husband and wife, in reality, they were somewhat reclusive.
Some journalists and bloggers online have drawn parallels between how the media covered the DeSantis family and how they covered another political powerhouse pair, the Clintons.
It is very inspiring and empowering for a woman to be in an expansive and atypical role, as long as she is a Democrat and not in one of those weird, insular marriages with only two people in it. The Clintons got it right. https://t.co/BGH5wwFE3C

Gabriella Hoffman, a senior associate at the Independent Women’s Forum, made light of the apparent worry around the desire of Ron and Casey DeSantis to keep the details of their marriage private.
One word was all that political emcee Ian Miles Cheong had to say in response to a passage of the article highlighted on Twitter by the press secretary for Governor DeSantis.
“Based,” Cheong said in response to The Post’s characterization of Governor DeSantis’ language against woke thinking as one of “zero tolerance.”
Not The First Time
The Post offered evidence to support its claim that Governor DeSantis was skilled in employing the language of no tolerance.
Casey DeSantis is no stranger to receiving a great deal of media attention and even occasional criticism. In fact, this is not the first time it happened.
An opinion piece published by the Daily Beast received a lot of backlash on the internet after it insulted Florida’s first lady by referring to her as “Walmart Melania Trump.”
After defending other prominent spouses like Jill Biden, Gisele Fetterman, and Hillary Clinton from parallels to the Shakespearean evildoer, Politico also employed the “Lady Macbeth” cliche to describe Casey DeSantis.
