Democrats are expressing their frustration over the conservative majority in the United States Supreme Court and its consistent rejection of left-wing policies.
In response, Democrats are once again calling for the court to be expanded in order to undermine conservative influence, a proposal recently made by Rep. Adam Schiff.
Anticipated Outcome
In its most recent term, the Supreme Court declared race-based college admissions and other forms of discrimination unconstitutional, effectively ending affirmative action policies.
They also struck down President Biden’s college debt relief plan, which would have imposed a burden of $400 billion on American taxpayers. Additionally, the Supreme Court made significant changes to abortion laws last year with its ruling on Roe v. Wade.
Now, Rep. Adam Schiff, a prominent Democratic congressman from California, is leading the charge to pack the Supreme Court with liberal justices to overpower the conservative justices and advance the left’s agenda.
Expanding the size of the Supreme Court isn’t extreme or unprecedented — but the opinions of this Court certainly are.

Every option should be on the table to deliver relief and fix this broken court.
Use the Higher Education Act.
SCOTUS term limits.
Mandatory ethics rules.
Limit judicial review.
Expand the court. pic.twitter.com/Nx7RtqqTa0— Ilhan Omar (@IlhanMN) June 30, 2023
The left:
A court blocks a state law they don’t like.
‘THIS IS DEMOCRACY IN ACTION!!’The SCOTUS makes a ruling they don’t like.
‘WE ARE LIVING UNDER RIGHTWING FASCISM! EXPAND THE COURT! IGNORE THE RULING! DEMOCRACY IS AT STAKE!!’— Chad Felix Greene (@chadfelixg) June 29, 2023
‘Unstacking,’ Then Packing
Adam Schiff is urging the expansion and “unstacking” of the US Supreme Court, according to The Gateway Pundit reports.
Schiff, who is currently running for a US Senate seat, wrote a letter to his campaign supporters stating that the current Supreme Court must be “unpacked” and then repacked with additional justices. He proposed implementing term limits and an ethics code for the justices, as quoted by The Washington Examiner.
While many Americans have opposed the idea of court packing, with 55% against it according to a 2022 survey by Rasmussen Reports and the Heartland Institute, Democrats have expressed a desire to add four justices to the Supreme Court to tilt the balance in their favor.
It seems that the Democratic campaign to weaken and control the Supreme Court is only getting stronger.
•Roe v Wade: 10th Amendment violation
•Student debt forgiveness: out of executive purview
•Forced expression: 1st amendment violation
•Affirmative Action: 14th Amendment violation
Constitutional rulings are not extremist.
Packing the court because you don’t like it— is.

The court’s apolitical sheen is a dangerous myth. Wipe away this gloss and court expansion becomes the obvious remedy to the court’s rightward lurch: It’s immediate, and it’s indisputably constitutional. https://t.co/20GA8DGCQe
