Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis hypothesized that Joe Biden selected Kamala Harris as his running mate since she was the ‘greatest impeachment insurance’ and nobody else would pick her over the incumbent president.
No One Wants Kamala for President
The Florida governor claimed he is not worried about securing the party’s nomination in the face of an overwhelming field. DeSantis is in it in order to win it, as he explained at a campaign event in South Carolina on Thursday.
DeSantis argued that simply because Harris is a poor candidate for president, Biden isn’t necessarily any better.
A person in the crowd at the event in Augusta, South Carolina questioned DeSantis on if he was concerned about winning the primary.
DeSantis responded, “If we botch this one, and Biden gets a second term in office – heck, you could end having Kamala as president even.”

DeSantis stated that many people questioned Biden and his decision when he chose Harris to be his vice president, since she plainly has problems.
Then, DeSantis went on to say he can actually understand why Biden chose Kamala, since she’s the finest impeachment insurance money can buy.
It’s going to take congress longer than that. Besides joes greatest insurance policy against impeachment is the thought of Kamala becoming POTUS.

The Florida governor said, to the amusement of the audience, that regardless of whatever Biden does, nobody desires Kamala as president. That’s basically where we’re at with that.
Some Republicans have proposed articles of impeachment that would remove President Biden from office, but the rest of Congress hasn’t given it any significant consideration.
Kamala Not a Threat to DeSantis
DeSantis also declared he would dismiss half of the federal government personnel in order to “clean out” corruption throughout his campaign speech on Thursday.
After receiving backlash from the media amid making this promise to the American public, DeSantis responded to inquiries from voters throughout a campaign event in South Carolina.
