White powder-filled letters were recently delivered to a variety of Republican lawmakers across the nation; among them are those from Montana, Kansas, and Tennessee.

Republicans Receive Threats

Clarence Thomas, a Supreme Court justice, and several other people received identical letters with white powder, but they were seized, as reported by ABC.

The multi-state event is currently being looked at by the FBI.

The letters included unmistakable threats issued by a liberal activist that specifically targeted Republicans, as stated by Jennifer Easton, the spokeswoman for the Tennessee House Republican Caucus, stated by the Associated Press.

A short shutdown of a Tennessee congressional office complex was caused by the discovery of the letter. Tennessee lawmakers enacted a bill a few months ago, defining gender according to biology rather than inclination.

The letter was delivered to Republican state representative Neil Duram at his house in Montana, wherein a high-profile event involving a transgender member had the legislature in the national limelight.

A minimum of one other Republican in Montana also got a note at home. Speaker of the Montana House Matt Regier was the most recent target.

As reported by KECI-TV, the note advised them not to choke on their aspirations. The correspondence had been signed, “Your secret despirer.”

As reported by KECI-TV, the letters were stamped in Kansas City, but contained regional return addresses.

In accordance with the Wichita Eagle, over 100 envelopes with powder have been received by Republicans in Kansas, wherein the letter stream first started.
