As the dust settles from the 2020 election, a storm is brewing in Georgia.
Several allies of former President Trump are facing charges related to alleged election fraud. The case involves accusations of double and triple-counting votes, racketeering, perjury, and more.
One of the key figures in this saga is Michael Roman, a former Trump campaign official. Roman stands accused of orchestrating a scheme involving fake electors in several battleground states, including Georgia.
The plan was audacious – recruit a slate of counterfeit electors in seven states to falsely certify that Trump won their respective states. Roman’s role was pivotal, handling much of the groundwork for organizing these slates, according to Congressional committee testimonies.

Another individual embroiled in this controversy is Shawn Still, a Georgia state senator who allegedly posed as a fake Trump elector.
Still is one of three electors indicted over their role in presenting a bogus slate of 16 Republicans to the electoral college in support of Trump. His attorney maintains his innocence, promising the evidence at trial will vindicate him.
The case also involves high-ranking officials from the Trump administration.
Mark Meadows, Trump’s then-chief of staff, and Jeffrey Clark, a Justice Department lawyer, are both fighting to have their cases moved to federal court from state court.
Meadows, who arranged the call between Trump and Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, has since turned himself in. Clark, who drafted a letter falsely stating the DoJ had identified significant concerns about election fraud, has yet to surrender.
In a twist of events, Lee, a police chaplain from Illinois, is charged with trying to intimidate Fulton County poll worker Ruby Freeman by visiting her home and pushing her to give false testimony about Election Day events.
He worked alongside Harrison Floyd, the former director of Black Voices for Trump, and Trevian Kutti, a former Kanye West publicist, in an attempt to manipulate Freeman into giving false testimony about voter fraud.

Misty Hampton, the former Coffee County elections supervisor, is likewise implicated in the case. She is charged with assisting employees of forensic data firm SullivanStrickler in breaching voting machines in Coffee County.
Hampton, who expressed suspicion over Biden’s victory, was present when forensic experts were allowed to copy software and data from the county’s election equipment.
As the case unfolds, it’s clear the stakes are high.
District Attorney Fani Willis has charged all the defendants with racketeering, alleging they engaged in a ‘criminal enterprise’ to overturn Joe Biden’s 2020 election victory in Georgia.
As we await the arraignments set to take place the week of September 5, one thing is certain – this case will continue to captivate the nation.
