Governor Ron DeSantis of Florida has expressed a similar stance, stating that he will not accept refugees from Gaza into the United States due to concerns about anti-Semitism and a lack of support for Israel’s right to exist among the population.
In addition to geographical restrictions, Trump’s plan also includes ideological screening for all immigrants to the United States. This measure aims to prevent individuals with extremist views or sympathies towards radical Islamic terrorists from gaining residency in the country.
Those who support the abolition of Israel, Hamas, or its ideology, as well as those who identify as communist, Marxist, or fascist, would be disqualified from entering the country.
