A group of LGBT activists in New York City shouted the phrase “we’re coming for your children” as they marched through the city. The protesters chanted, “We’re here, we’re queer, and we’re coming for your children.”
Shocking Behavior
The yearly New York City Drag March had male adults dressed in skimpy women’s clothing, females with exposed breasts, and many drag performers in attendance.
According to a Daily Caller story, the protesters gathered in Tompkins Square Park before marching through the East Village and ending at the Stonewall Inn. The Stonewall Inn was the site of deadly protests in 1969 after a police raid on a homosexual nightclub.
Some protestors carried signs with slogans like “Groom Cissies” and “Drag isn’t for Cissies.” Others handed out flyers promoting “Drag Story Hour” and support for LGBTQ and gender nonconforming youngsters.
A small number of right-wing protestors have targeted DSH NYC gatherings.
To create a friendly and joyful atmosphere, families are encouraged to bring their children and supporters are urged to wear rainbow-colored clothing or festive attire to drown out the voices of those opposing the march.

After the incident on Friday, New York City’s LGBT celebrations are far from over. A “Dyke March” is scheduled for Saturday, and a “Queer Liberation March” is planned for Sunday.

Right-wing Stands Against Groomers
U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) expressed outrage over the “we’re here for your kids” statement and called on Congress to pass legislation banning gender-changing surgeries for children.
Greene stated in a post, “This organization grooms children to have mastectomy procedures and sterilization and feeds a multi-billion dollar pharmaceutical child abuse industry.”
According to Greene, the Protect Children’s Innocence Act needs to be passed to allow children to be children.
