Former White House press secretary and current MSNBC host Jen Psaki has made a bold claim about former President Trump’s political tactics. Psaki alleges that Trump and his team have been using strategies reminiscent of Russian President Vladimir Putin in their attempts to link Biden to his son Hunter’s suspected criminal activities.

In response to Díaz-Balart’s question about the potential impact of the ongoing Hunter Biden case, Psaki criticized Trump’s strategy. She claimed that Trump tried to scandalize Biden with his son’s issues during the previous election and is attempting to do the same now.
According to Psaki, Trump’s team is trying to create a false equivalence between Hunter Biden’s legal troubles and the former president’s alleged attempts to overturn the election results or obstruct justice. She argued that this tactic of muddying the waters is often used by Putin and other tyrannical oppressors to make unrelated situations appear similar.
Psaki further suggested that Trump’s team is not only trying to smear Biden but is also using the controversy to raise funds for their nearly bankrupt PAC, Trump Save America. She stated that raising the issue of Hunter Biden certainly energizes the Republican base, which could help them financially.
