Biden Administration Develops Affection for Newsom

Joe Biden’s visit to San Francisco this week for public appearances and fundraising didn’t simply receive a warm greeting from Gavin Newsom.

Newsom is a Biden Surrogate

The California governor firmly accepted his new position as a prominent Biden supporter during Biden’s three-day trip across the Bay Area.

Days prior to the excursion, Newsom conducted a one-hour conversation with Sean Hannity of Fox News. He immediately took the defensive position into what many Democrats perceive as enemy territory’s nerve center.

The Biden community is paying attention. Not that long ago, Newsom irritated Democratic leaders by neglecting to do enough to quell rumors that he intended to run against Biden for the party’s nomination in 2024.

Then, Newsom further irritated them by implying they weren’t ready to defend Democratic values, such as abortion rights, against growing Republican challenges.

Now, Newsom is currently launching attacks on Biden’s behalf. Surrogates should be “performing both supportive, encouraging statements surrounding the record and agenda,” according to campaigns.

On condition of anonymity, a Biden advisor described their growing group of powerful surrogates and said, “You are also encouraging them to escalate the fight to the opposing party.”

The advisor spoke on Newsom specifically, saying, “Our opinion is he’s been doing an outstanding job on everything.”

Seeing Biden and Newsom sitting under that sign that said ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE just put the icing on the cake for what we have leading us in this country.

While supporting the party’s leader is typical for governors, Newsom has gone above and beyond in the past year to show his devotion and give his support.

Newsom Loyal to Biden

This past week, the California governor spent almost 36 hours hopping around the Bay Area to meet with Joe Biden at the airport.

The pair discussed the administration’s climate initiative at a nature preserve based in Palo Alto, along with artificial intelligence while in San Francisco.

Then, they co-hosted an event to raise money for the president’s re-election throughout the Golden Gate in the wealthy Marin County woodlands.
