A new report reveals that Mayor Eric Adams of New York City relocated undocumented immigrants who were already residing in the city to various locations throughout the United States and even to other countries, including China.
Hypocrisy
Adams, who publicly criticized Texas for sending undocumented immigrants to New York as “horrific,” allegedly sent 114 migrant families to more than 12 states and five countries, including China, Venezuela, Peru, Colombia, and Ecuador.

In response, a spokesperson for Republican Governor Greg Abbott of Texas pointed out that less than a month ago, Mayor Adams himself criticized transporting migrants as being immoral.
Where is the outrage from the White House and Democrats towards one of their own who is sending migrants out of town, out of state, and even out of the country?
Instead of engaging in this hypocritical charade, Mayor Adams should be calling on the president and Congress to protect the southern border.
According to a Politico investigation based on public information, the city spent $50,000 of taxpayer funds on flights between April 2022 and April 2023.
Unauthorized immigrants were sent to more than twelve states, including 28 residences in Florida, 14 in Texas, six in North Carolina, and five in Illinois.
If Adams can send illegals to South America then why not Texas and Florida?https://t.co/aJEwmtV3pJ

Justification
A spokesperson for Adams, Kate Smart, defended the actions, stating that they were distinct from what Abbott and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) had done.
According to Smart, New York City has been working for months to help people connect with their relatives, close companions, and networks both inside and outside the city.
She emphasized that they are not forcing anyone to leave, nor are they suggesting or advising specific locations. Their goal is to assist individuals in reconnecting with loved ones or communities.
Adams has made it clear that he disapproves of Abbott’s actions, as Abbott sent nearly 10,000 migrants to New York.
During a press conference in August of last year, Adams described Abbott’s actions as horrifying, stating that New York City has always stood for democratic ideals.
