‘Highly Dangerous’ Fugitive Murderer Sparks Urgent Manhunt on Labor Day Weekend

As the nation was preparing to celebrate Labor Day weekend, a chilling event unfolded in Chester County, Pennsylvania.

A convicted murderer, identified as an illegal alien, managed to escape from prison, triggering a high-stakes manhunt. The fugitive, Danelo Cavalcante, a 34-year-old Brazilian national, is considered extremely dangerous and left the community on edge.

Cavalcante’s criminal history is as alarming as his recent escape. He was convicted for the brutal murder of 33-year-old Deborah Brandao, a crime he committed in front of her young children.

The incident occurred in April 2021 when Cavalcante, who had previously threatened Brandao after she discovered his wanted status in Brazil, showed up at her home. In a horrifying turn of events, he attacked Brandao, pulling her by her hair, forcing her to the ground, and stabbing her more than a dozen times.

Despite her desperate cries for help, Cavalcante fled the scene before anyone could intervene.

Following the murder, Cavalcante attempted to evade justice by fleeing to Mexico and then to his native country of Brazil. However, his run ended when he was apprehended by police in Virginia before reaching the southern border.

His capture came after he had allegedly crossed the United States-Mexico border illegally, following another alleged murder in Brazil in 2017.

The shocking escape from Chester County Prison took place on August 31, less than three weeks after Cavalcante received a life sentence without parole for Brandao’s murder.

Surveillance footage spotted him on September 2, just 1.5 miles away from the prison. While authorities believe he may still be in the area, they have not ruled out the possibility that he could have moved elsewhere.

In response to this alarming situation, Chester County District Attorney Deb Ryan issued a stern warning to residents. She urged them to stay indoors, lock their vehicles, review surveillance footage, and immediately report any suspicious activity to the police.

A $10,000 reward has been offered to anyone who can provide information leading to Cavalcante’s capture.

This incident underscores the urgent need for robust law enforcement and stringent border control measures. It serves as a stark reminder of the potential dangers posed by illegal aliens, particularly those with a violent criminal history.

As the manhunt continues, it is crucial for citizens to remain vigilant and cooperate with law enforcement agencies to ensure Cavalcante is swiftly brought back into custody.

Everyone’s thoughts are now with the family of Deborah Brandao. Let’s hope the swift capture of Cavalcante will bring some measure of peace to them during this difficult time.
