Arizona Republican Kari Lake recently addressed election interference during a hearing at the Arizona House Committee on Oversight, Accountability, and Big Tech. She urged legislators to take immediate action against this growing issue.
Lake’s plea came in response to alleged collusion between then-Secretary of State Katie Hobbs, current Maricopa County Recorder Stephen Richer, and Big Tech companies. They were accused of suppressing the voices of Arizonans, including Lake, during the midterm elections. The controversy centered around the use of Sharpies that bled through ballots, leading to confusion and accusations of fraud.

Lake’s testimony exposed the concerning reality of Big Tech’s influence over elections. She highlighted Google’s extensive tracking capabilities and emphasized how it holds more power than any other entity in choosing our leaders, which goes against the principles on which our country was founded.
The situation was worsened on Election Day when approximately 60% of voting polling locations experienced faulty equipment, resulting in long lines and wait times of up to six hours. Many Arizonans were unable to vote due to these issues, potentially skewing the election results.
Lake’s speech was not just a criticism of the current state of affairs but also a call to action. She urged everyone, regardless of political affiliation, to remember their oath to protect and uphold the United States Constitution. Lake emphasized the urgency of the situation, stating that our democracy is at risk.

In addition to election interference, Lake also expressed concern about the influence of Big Tech on our children. She believes the indoctrination of young minds is even more alarming than what’s happening in our schools.
Lake’s fight for election integrity is far from over. She is currently involved in a lawsuit against Maricopa County’s gubernatorial election. Her legal team plans to appeal the dismissal of her election challenge and is prepared to take the case to the US Supreme Court if necessary.
