Minneapolis Mayor Embarrasses Himself by Twerking in Public – Video

Jacob Frey has been serving as the mayor of Minneapolis since 2018 and is known for his liberal Democrat stance. He gained national attention after the death of George Floyd, showing his support and empathy towards the incident. However, Frey recently did something that is causing quite a stir and making people laugh out loud.

In a newly released video, Frey is seen twerking in celebration of the “Juneteenth” holiday. This act has raised eyebrows, considering the fact that he is a 41-year-old married man with a young daughter. Some argue that his attempt at solidarity with the black community is misguided and unnecessary.

It is important to note that twerking is a dance move that originated from Afro-Caribbean culture, but it does not represent the entirety of black culture. By engaging in such an act, Frey may unintentionally be reinforcing negative stereotypes about black Americans.

Critics argue that acts like this are condescending and do more harm than good in promoting racial solidarity. It is seen as pandering and reinforces harmful stereotypes. Some even suggest that if Frey wants to embarrass himself in such a way, he should consider a career in a strip club.

This incident highlights the lengths some politicians will go to pretend to care about minorities, without realizing the negative consequences of their actions. By reinforcing stereotypes, they inadvertently perpetuate racism.
