New COVID Doomsday Alarm: Alarming Connection to ‘Barbenheimer’ Discovered

A vaccine expert went viral by predicting a new surge in COVID-19 cases resulting from large crowds of Americans going to see Hollywood blockbuster films “Oppenheimer” and “Barbie” – collectively known as “Barbenheimer” by the mainstream media.

Dr. Peter Hotez, a 65-year-old vaccine expert, shared his doomsday warning in a tweet last Sunday. He expressed concern about a potential post-Barbie or post-Oppenheimer surge in COVID-19 cases, questioning why nobody seemed to be worried about it anymore as the pandemic has subsided.

Dr. Hotez, who is the dean of the National Tropical Medicine School at Baylor Medical College and a pediatrician, advised Americans to continue getting booster shots and to use “KN-95 or N-95” masks.

According to the latest data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), there were 7,109 people hospitalized with COVID-19 nationwide as of July 15. This is significantly lower compared to the same time last year when there were 45,000 hospitalizations.

Dr. Hotez, who frequently appeared on CNN during the pandemic, faced criticism for his new doomsday warning. Texas state Rep. Jeff Leach, a Republican, dismissed the concerns, stating that no sane person was worried about COVID transmission anymore. He criticized Hotez for promoting a “warped state of fear.” Tim Carney, a writer for the Washington Examiner, accused the left of constant fear-mongering about COVID, while columnist Sonny Bunch from the Washington Times stated that there was no need to worry since it wasn’t 2020 anymore.

Last month, podcaster Joe Rogan criticized Dr. Hotez for advocating vaccines exclusively and disregarding other factors such as exercise, vitamins, and a proper diet for maintaining good health.

It seems that the far-left continues to exploit the COVID-19 threat longer than many sane and patriotic Americans anticipated.
