Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has sparked controversy with her recent endorsement of a book that portrays her as a victim of right-wing attacks. However, her endorsement has been met with criticism and trolling.
The book she endorsed is titled “The Hunting of Hillary: The Forty-Year Campaign to Destroy Hillary Clinton” by Michael D’Antonio.
In her endorsement, she commends the book for exposing right-wing misogyny and mythmaking. However, she has restricted comments on her post to only those she follows or mentions, effectively silencing any differing opinions.
Despite her attempt to control the narrative, critics have voiced their thoughts on other platforms, resulting in a wave of trolling similar to a previous incident in 2022 when Clinton asked for movie suggestions during her COVID-19 quarantine.

Reviewers have described the book, published in 2020, as providing a saintly assessment of Clinton. It documents the numerous attacks she has faced over the years but also suggests that she has achieved a mythic status similar to ancient ghosts and goblins that reflect the insecurities of their creators.
However, not everyone agrees with this portrayal. Another review criticizes the Clintons for their generation’s failings, including self-centered idealism and a sense of entitlement.
The book quotes former Democratic Arkansas governor and Sen. Dale Bumpers, who accused the Clintons of being self-centered and insensitive to others’ feelings.
Bumpers stated, “Clinton ought to be most grateful… but he never is. You can never do quite enough for him and Hillary. They are the most manic-obsessed people I have ever known in my life and perhaps even the most insensitive to everybody else’s feelings. Everything centers around them and their ambitions.”
