Larry Nassar, a former doctor of the US women’s Olympic gymnastics team and a convicted pedophile, has faced brutal attacks in prison. Another inmate assaulted and stabbed him multiple times, making it the second assault he has endured since being incarcerated for his crimes.
Disgraced Pedophile Doctor Abusing Gold Medalists
The scandal exposing Nassar’s routine rape, molestation, and sexual assault of team members surfaced in 2016. Victims of this pedophile included US Olympic gold medalists Aly Raisman, Simone Biles, and McKayla Maroney.
Nassar, who previously worked at USA Gymnastics and Michigan State University, was found guilty in 2018 on multiple charges, including sexual assault, possession of child pornography, and pedophilia. He received a de facto life sentence without parole.
Over 100 women have sought a combined total of $1 billion in compensation from the US government due to the FBI’s failure to stop this pedophilic sex offender.
Shortly after being incarcerated in a prison in Tucson, Arizona, Nassar first suffered an attack by another inmate.
The recent attack on Nassar in the Florida prison, where he was moved after the initial assault, was much more severe. He barely survived after being stabbed ten times by Shane McMillan, a violent criminal armed with a self-made weapon.
McMillan claimed he tried to kill Nassar because the former doctor made lewd comments expressing a desire to see young girls play in women’s matches at the Wimbledon tennis tournament. Nassar was stabbed in the chest, neck, and back, but four other inmates intervened to stop McMillan.
According to the local prison guard union head, Nassar was considered “lucky” to survive the vicious stabbing attack.
