Stefanik Takes Action: Lodges Judicial Ethics Complaint Against Judge Engoron for Unorthodox Courtroom Behavior

Elise Stefanik, a Republican Congresswoman from New York, has filed a judicial ethics complaint against NY Judge Arthur Engoron. Stefanik claims that the judge exhibited “bizarre behavior” during a non-jury civil fraud case involving former President Donald Trump.

Stefanik’s complaint emphasizes various instances of questionable conduct by Judge Engoron. At the beginning of the trial, the judge was observed smiling and posing for cameras, raising concerns about his impartiality. Additionally, he ignored an appellate ruling on the appropriate statute of limitations in the case.

Stefanik also pointed out that Judge Engoron entered summary judgment against the defendant before the trial even began, without witnesses, evidence, or cross-examination, despite disputed material evidence. Although the defendant had repaid the Wall Street banks involved, with interest, as agreed, and no insurance company had lost any money, the judge proceeded to hold a trial, without a jury, to determine damages.

Stefanik accused Judge Engoron of silencing Trump and his attorneys, and threatening the defendant’s counsel when a routine motion for a directed verdict was filed. She also revealed that Judge Engoron and his staff are partisan Democrat donors. According to her, this sheds light on what she described as a ‘fraudulent’ justice system in New York, and the corruption of judges who are politically biased.

Stefanik’s complaint aims to address judicial bias and ensure the integrity of the justice system. It highlights the need for fairness and transparency in the courts, regardless of political affiliations.

The complaint is a testament to Stefanik’s commitment to upholding the rule of law and ensuring fair trials for all, without the influence of political vendettas.

In conclusion, Stefanik’s judicial ethics complaint against Judge Engoron is a significant step towards addressing judicial bias and ensuring the integrity of the justice system. It serves as a call to action for all Americans to stand up against corruption and demand fairness and transparency in our courts.
