World Leaders React To Assassination

Shinzo Abe, the former Prime Minister of Japan, was assassinated on Friday during a campaign event by a gunman who shot him.

Abe’s assassination has shocked Japan, where acts of violence and shootings are rare, as well as the rest of the world.

At 67 years old, Abe held the record for being Japan’s longest-serving prime minister, having served two terms from 2006 to 2007 and 2012 to 2020.

World leaders who have collaborated with Abe while he was prime minister expressed their sadness and distress over his death.
