President Volodymyr Zelensky is now warning that Putin plans on taking out the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant.
Zelensky Accusations Do Not Add Up; If Russians Are in Control, Why Would They Blow the Plant?
Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Station is situated in the Zaporizhzhia Oblast, which has been under Russian occupation since 2022.
The plant is also in the same region as the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant. This was the target of a bombing by an unspecified combatant, resulting in a massive flood that devastated several Ukrainian towns.

Ukrainians blamed the Russians, while the Russians responded by accusing Ukrainians of being the responsible belligerent. They have openly admitted to targeting the Kakhovka dam in the past and even expressed their intentions to destroy it.
The entire situation is very paradoxical from a Russian standpoint. If you control a major power source in a region, why destroy it?
Zelensky appears convinced, claiming the plot is a Russian move, given their evacuation of the Zaporizhzhia region.

According to Zelensky, Ukrainian intelligence possesses information indicating the Russian military placed objects resembling explosives on the roofs of several power units. He says this was done at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant.
Zelensky later blamed the lack of response time on the Kakhovka dam terrorist attack and encouraged the Kremlin to commit further malicious acts of evil against Ukraine.
The Ukrainian president next asked the international community to take responsibility for Russia’s behavior amid the war.
