Biden’s Silence Sparks Outrage as Over 1,000 People Remain Missing in Tragic Maui Fire

Hawaii Governor Josh Green recently disclosed over 1,000 individuals remain unaccounted for in the aftermath of the catastrophic Maui fire.

This devastating incident, which occurred earlier this month in the quaint town of Lahaina, left the community and the nation in a state of profound shock and grief.

The Maui fire, now recognized as the deadliest in U.S. history in over a century, has claimed well over 100 lives.

The magnitude of this disaster has not only shaken the residents of Lahaina but also raised serious questions about the federal government’s response. President Biden’s conspicuous silence on this tragedy has drawn intense criticism from various quarters.

During an interview with Margaret Brennan, host of CBS News’ “Face The Nation,” Governor Green was asked about the number of people still missing and the timeline for identifying remains.

He responded, “More than 1,000 are unaccounted for, about 1,050. It will take several weeks still.”

The governor further elaborated on the challenges faced by the rescue teams. According to him, 85 percent of the impact zone has been covered by what he described as an ‘army’ of search and rescue teams, aided by 41 dogs.

However, the remaining 15 percent of the area, comprising larger buildings, presents a daunting task.

Green explained, “Now we go into the larger buildings, which require peeling back some of the floors and structures. That last 15 percent could take weeks.”

He expressed grave concerns about the recovery of remains due to the extreme temperatures of the fire. In some cases, he feared, it may be impossible to recover the remains meaningfully.

Despite these challenges, Governor Green assured viewers that state officials, in collaboration with the FBI, were doing everything within their power to identify any remains they come across.

However, he also acknowledged the grim reality that some victims of this horrific fire might never be found due to the intensity of the blaze.

This tragic event underscores the need for effective leadership and swift action in times of crisis. The lack of response from President Biden is not just disappointing; it’s a glaring omission that raises questions about his administration’s commitment to American citizens in times of distress.
