The FBI Director, Christopher A. Wray, has declared that China poses the most significant long-term threat to the economic and national security of the United States and the Western world.
Wray has cautioned that Beijing actively tries to exert influence in politics, business, and other areas, extending these targeted attacks to the United States as well.
China utilizes its state-owned enterprises to boost its economic output, often engaging in economic sabotage of foreign companies and acquiring their schematics for specific materials.

China’s wide-ranging infiltration efforts include establishing ideological advocacy centers at universities, such as the Confucius Institute, and recruiting spies to obtain foreign technologies.
These technologies encompass artificial intelligence, nuclear, biotech, and military-related developments.
The CCP has sent numerous individuals involved in these projects to collaborate with public universities and private companies in various countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Israel, Canada, Australia, Japan, France, and Germany.
Notable individuals mentioned include Weibao Wang, an Apple software developer who stole self-driving car technology, and Zhengdong Cheng, an aerospace engineer who maintained communication channels with China while working at NASA.
