Curtis Sliwa, Founder of Guardian Angels, Inc., Arrested in New York City

Curtis Sliwa, the founder and CEO of the Guardian Angels, was recently arrested in New York City. He is well-known for his opposition to the city’s plan to accommodate illegal immigrants.

The Guardian Angels is a nonprofit organization dedicated to unarmed crime prevention. Sliwa’s stance on the issue has sparked a heated debate in the city.

Sliwa was also the Republican nominee in the 2021 New York City mayoral election, although he lost to Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams.

Despite the election results, Sliwa continues to be a vocal critic of the city’s policies. He recently revealed a controversial situation outside the Roosevelt Hotel, which has further fueled the debate.

In protest, Sliwa went to Staten Island to rally against the conversion of the Midland Beach Senior Citizen Home into a migrant shelter. The facility, which used to house vulnerable elderly Americans, has become the center of a contentious debate.

Sliwa joined forces with other protestors and blocked the street to display their civil disobedience. As a result, Sliwa and several other protestors were arrested and taken away in a police van.

Prior to the event, Sliwa expressed his disdain for Mayor Eric Adams’ decision to evict the elderly occupants of the nursing home to make room for illegal migrants. He called out politicians for their role in facilitating the “invasion of illegal immigrants” into NYC neighborhoods.

This is not the first time Sliwa has been arrested for protesting. He previously led a protest at a tent shelter for migrants at Creedmoor Hospital Grounds.

Despite the arrests, Sliwa remains determined to continue fighting for his cause until justice is served. His actions and words have sparked a conversation about the city’s immigration policies. Sliwa argues that the city is not obligated to be a sanctuary for illegal immigrants and believes that Americans should be prioritized.

The debate surrounding Sliwa’s activism shows no signs of slowing down, and he continues to be a prominent voice in New York City.
