Hunter Biden’s response to Devon Archer regarding his arrest in 2018 emerged

Devon Archer, a long-time friend and business associate of Hunter Biden at Burisma Holdings, testified before the House Oversight Committee on Monday.

Archer revealed that Hunter Biden frequently put his father, then-Vice President Joe Biden, on speakerphone during meetings with business partners. He claimed that Joe Biden was brought in to promote the Biden family during these calls.

In June, Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) issued a subpoena to Devon Archer, compelling him to participate in a deposition as part of the committee’s investigation into the financial affairs of the Biden family.

Archer used to work for Burisma Holdings and Hunter Biden’s investment firm, Rosemont Seneca Partners.

Prior to the hearing, Biden’s Department of Justice sent a letter to Archer, demanding his report to prison.

Federal prosecutors in Manhattan filed a letter recommending a date for Devon Archer to start serving his one-year sentence. This sentence is related to a fraud case that is unrelated to the controversies involving Hunter Biden.

The letter came after the Second Circuit Court of Appeals upheld Archer’s 2018 conviction for defrauding two Amerindian tribes. However, the letter did not specify when Archer was to surrender to the authorities.

Matthew Schwartz, Archer’s attorney, called the DOJ letter an intimidation tactic to prevent his client from testifying before Congress.

Archer texted Hunter after his 2018 conviction, asking why he was arrested and placed in jail by the administration appointees of his father.

Hunter tried to reassure Devon that he is a member of the Biden family and that they will stand by him even during difficult times.
