The Silicon Valley Showdown: Elon Musk vs Mark Zuckerberg

Elon Musk, the maverick owner of X, is relentlessly taunting Facebook founder, Mark Zuckerberg, over the past 24 hours.

Musk has been calling Zuckerberg a “chicken,” following Zuckerberg’s assertion that Musk isn’t serious about their proposed fight. Zuckerberg stated earlier, “I think we can all agree Elon isn’t serious, and it’s time to move on.”

The Meta founder went on to reveal that he offered a real date for the fight, with UFC President Dana White proposing to make it a legitimate competition for charity.

Yet, according to Zuckerberg, Musk has been evasive, claiming he needs surgery and requesting a practice round in Zuckerberg’s backyard instead.

Zuckerberg further expressed his frustration, stating, “If Elon ever gets serious about a real date and official event, he knows how to reach me. Otherwise, time to move on. I’m going to focus on competing with people who take the sport seriously.”

Walter Isaacson, Musk’s biographer, shared a screenshot of an exchange between the two billionaires. In the conversation, Musk proposed a real or practice fight in Zuckerberg’s yard, asking, “Wanna do a practice bout at your house next week?”

Zuckerberg responded by urging Musk to train independently and let him know when he was ready to compete. He expressed his desire to stop hyping an event that may never happen, suggesting they either proceed with the fight soon or move on entirely.

Musk, however, seemed undeterred.

He replied, “I will be in Palo Alto on Monday. Let’s fight in your Octagon.” Despite admitting to not having trained much, Musk seemed confident, even suggesting he might surprise everyone, given their size difference.

The X owner later tweeted he would be showing up at Zuckerberg’s home, stating, “I’m gonna bang on his door tomorrow and demand to fight.” He continued this thread on Monday, asserting that he would indeed be arriving at Zuckerberg’s residence.

In a shocking announcement, Musk declared he would drive to Zuckerberg’s house to attempt to instigate the fight. He also revealed plans to live stream the entire event on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.
